![[projects/pantry build log/Index]] Why I planned to build a new pantry, and how this became a gateway into wood working, alongside a lesson on how to burn money. In May 2023, I decided that I couldn't handle my poorly constructed pantry anymore, so I decided to remove it. What I didn't realize was that this choice would cause me to lose the bottom half of my pantry for more than a year. Here is what my pantry use to look like, all the boxes on the left were too small and waaay too deep to be useful. Unless you'd like to lose a package of angel hair noodles, buy more only to find that you've accumulated a small pile once you've cleaned it all out… I swear I don't hoard on purpose. ![gross](https://photos.benkugler.dev/api/assets/ecdfa844-55fb-4774-810a-22721f601c41/thumbnail?size=preview&key=4StvQue0Fs0jPW9lnUIcj3wt15w3sxXFrHdFlNCqX_afkM8Q9-L2BJN1xG0Aru2VRh8&c=UnP7F3yeDPVTC6kvBdO6Hrz21bU%3D) Next, [[1.
